STUDIO SHINYOO was made as a local woodworking and furniture design studio in Sweden. They were selected as the first Young Ambassador at the 2019 Seoul Design Festival with their first design work LIN table. Through about 22 exhibitions over 3 years, the studio has established itself as a representative furniture design studio in Korea. In 2022, They participated in the Start Art Fair exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery for the first time as a Korean furniture artist.

The first project, "LIN COLLECTION," was introduced through prestigious magazines, and was evaluated as a universal combination of modern and traditional. Currently, it is widely working with leading brands such as Samsung, LG, SK, Amore Pacific, Netflix, and Musinsa.

LIN COLLECTION

Discover the universality in cultural distinctiveness which is translated to modern times. From the ancient Greek architecture to traditional wooden architecture in East Asia, the beam to column structure has been used world wide. The collection is built with the origin of aesthetics abstracted from the intersection of different cultures.

NET_WORK

The studio began working with NETSPA(the first company in Korea which builds a recycling system for waste fishing nets) to give new value to waste fishing nets. Artworks, furniture, and objects are produced through recycled materials for waste fishing nets, which generate 640,000 tons per year around the world.

SIRYU

SIRYU is a multiverse design studio with a positive modernization from Joseon dynasty(1392 ~ ). STUDIO SHINYOO and SIRYU are sharing another form of living environment from the multiverse into this world. The meaning of the word SIRYU is ‘The trend of the time’. It represents a certain atmosphere, but also a translation for each era changing constantly.
